Whether you’re planning on staying home and working on homework this Halloween or going to your friend’s Halloween party, a perfect “spooky” playlist is essential. These ten songs are a few of my go-to jams for the holiday, with a mix of Halloween themed songs and other upbeat tunes to get you in the spirit.

“Spooky Scary Skeletons” by: Andrew Gold (2:07)
The number one song on this playlist is going to have to be Spooky Scary Skeletons. This is the anthem of Halloween and will get you in the mood for the season with its jolly beat. Good to listen to in the dark with a candle flickering nearby.

“Cry Like A Ghost” by: Passion Pit(4:23)

Passion Pit is a great group for getting your halloween started. This song has got a funky yet modern beat to get everyone dancing.

“Ghostbusters” by: Walk the Moon (3:44)
Ghostbusters is a classic halloween jam, and Walk the Moon takes the old 1984 song by Ray Parker Jr. and freshens it up by adding their own style to it.

“Poplar Street” by: Glass Animals (4:22)
Poplar Street is one of those songs that is slightly eerie, but has a good driving beat. Perfect for listening to on a windy night.

“Best Friend” by: Sofi Tukker (3:04)
This is one of those songs that’s good for any party. It’s sure to get all of your friends busting out their best moves.

“The Twilight Zone” – 1992 Digital Remaster by: The Ventures
The Twilight Zone is golden for a Halloween playlist. Fantastic for playing in the background while carving pumpkins, or for riding up to the top floor in a creepy elevator on a stormy night.

“This Is Halloween” – From The Nightmare Before Christmas by: The Citizens of Halloween (3:16)
This one is quite odd. That’s all I have to say.

“Carousel” by: Melanie Martinez (3:50)
This song is sure to add a creepy vibe to your Halloween night with its throbbing carnival pulse.

“Monster Mash” by: Bobby “Boris” Pickett & the Crypt-Kickers (3:12)
What would a Halloween playlist be without the classic “Monster Mash” on it?

“Howlin’ For You” by: The Black Keys (3:11)
Howlin’ For You is great for all the rock and roll fans out there. While it is a little more subtle, it is still a rhythmic gem.
