This year, we had many students from various Spanish levels who took the 2019 National Spanish Exam. Later on, several students were recognized nationally for achieving such excellent results on the exam! Prep students received 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals in total. There were also 17 honorable mentions as well. In his congratulatory letter to the Prep school, Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, says, “Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 146,000 students participating in 2019.” Students taking the exam were taught by teachers, Ms. Talic and Ms. Noska. Ms. Noska says that she is very pleased to see so many students from SJP receive awards. Congratulations to everyone who received national recognition!
