Cambel Shepherd

The girls’ swim team is off to a very good start. They have remained undefeated in their conference, winning by a wide margin. The girls have competed twice against Albany, Little Falls, Foley, and Milaca and won both times. At Milaca, the girls managed to win 127-57 with amazing scores by Sophie Hwang (21’), Cambel Shepherd (23’), Izzy Westling (26’), Claire Westling (24’), Tabitha Khul (25’), Clara Lamberts (24’), and Sadie (23’). Sophie brought the team some amazing varsity wins in the 100 fly as well as Cambel in the 500 and 200 free, Claire in the 100 breaststroke and 100 free, and Izzy in many events as well. Sadie also had some great dives for the team. Tabitha and Clara pulled off 1st place in many events, both in JV and varsity. The girls finished up their last regular meet this past week and will continue to train for conference and sections. This being said, there will be no state this year, so the season is shortened. The team looks forward to bringing in more wins and top varsity scores in these upcoming meets. They also hope to maintain their top five rank at sections from last year when they came in second.
