The War in Ukraine

The war in Ukraine is an often discussed topic right now. So far, 14,000 people have been killed from the war and many have been separated from family members, students, and friends. Vladimir Putin officially started the war on February 20, 201
4, but the invasion truly started on February 20, 2022. Some say that they think it might end in the spring-summer of 2023, but no one really knows for sure. Putin himself claims, “We will do everything to stop this as soon as possible. Only, unfortunately, the opposing side, the leadership of Ukraine, announced its rejection of the negotiation process and stated that it wants to achieve its goals by military means”.

Ukraine is doing well, though. They regained land area and made a breakthrough in the south against Russia. Many people fled to and from Ukraine; about 13,736,198 people came and 6,468,695 people fled. As Vladimir Putin recently just turned 70, he realized that he is in the eye of a storm. Many of Russians are fleeing from his mobilization order. His top lieutenants are even publicly insulting military leaders. And if this continuously keeps happening, he will be in the eye of a hurricane.
