The Saint John’s Prep boys varsity soccer team took on Central Minnesota Christian early this week. The Johnnies erupted onto the field, with an outpouring of energy. No goals were scored during the first half, but we held a strong defense, stopping many drives by the opposing forwards.

The second half began with the same enthusiasm as the first half. We had a few shots on goal, but they were were blocked by Central Minnesota Christian’s goalkeeper. Central Minnesota Christian, off a free kick, with the ball bouncing off goalkeeper Andres Medina’s hands. However, the Johnnies were able to rally together and scored with a shot by captain Andrew McGee. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. Coach Stark commented that, “We passed well and had many opportunities we just couldn’t finish.”
